KEYNOTE PRESENTATION

2020-2022: Pat helped a mid-market supply chain company define their long-term growth strategy and helped activate two of the company’s top-ranked new ventures. He led the executive team in identifying and prioritizing new runways for growth by ranking emerging, adjacent industry segments where they had unique value proposition, defining ideal customer profiles within those segments, and developing needed financial, business development and strategic marketing plans. He then led that company’s new eCommerce fulfillment business unit.

2008-2020: Pat spent 12 years at a 100-year-old global tool manufacturer, working on the product innovation, strategic marketing, and mergers and acquisitions teams. He led dozens of innovation project teams to deeply understand their customer and generated award-winning product insights and share-stealing product differentiation. He also scoped the total attainable market and penetration rates for key territories in the company’s Industrial sales group, collaborating with leadership to rebalance them, dramatically improving sales in those territories. Pat also conducted competitive analysis on disruptive technology in core markets to help drive the company's Mergers and Acquisitions initiatives.

Manufacturers are being pushed to enable more eCommerce capabilities, either through their own commerce sites or through marketplaces, and for good reason. First, there’s a push to capture more consumer wallet share by selling online across multiple commerce sites (AKA, “Omnichannel”).

Also, consumers are pulling Manufacturers to sell online, forcing merchants to adapt for fear of losing business to competitors. Manufacturers are left having to build out these capabilities, and tech leaders need to understand the impact on fulfillment operations in this new Omnichannel reality.
