Modern Threats: Attacking Web Applications and Azure Cloud Environments

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, web applications and cloud environments are increasingly becoming high-value targets for attackers. As organizations transition critical infrastructure and services to platforms like Azure, understanding the risks and attack vectors is vital for security leadership. This talk will provide a deep dive into the most common vulnerabilities in web applications, including OWASP Top 10 issues such as injection attacks and misconfigurations, as well as sophisticated methods attackers use to compromise Azure environments.

We will explore real-world attack scenarios, from exploiting cloud misconfigurations and insecure APIs to targeting Azure Active Directory and privilege escalation in the cloud. Additionally, WKL will discuss proactive defense strategies, mitigation techniques, and how CISOs can work to reduce the attack surface in both web and cloud environments. Join us to gain insights into the evolving threat landscape and actionable measures for securing your organization’s web and cloud assets.
