Dr. Rebecca Homkes is a high-growth strategy specialist with the London Business School’s Dept of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, an Educator at Duke Corporate Education, and a previous Fellow at the London School of Economics’ Centre for Economic Performance.  With her boutique consultancy, she advises CEOs and executive teams of top global companies and fast-growing enterprises on developing and executing growth strategies through extreme uncertainty.

Homkes is the director of the global Active Learning Programme for the Young President’s Organization; a partner with GrowthX, a Silicon Valley investment ecosystem and innovation consultancy; and is the faculty lead of two large Fintech scaling and accelerators.  A global keynote speaker, she is a member of several advisory boards, directed the joint McKinsey + Co and LSE Centre for Economic Performance Global Management Project since 2007 and has written for publications such as the Harvard Business Review, Businessweek, Fortune, and Forbes.

A Marshall Scholar, she received her PhD and MSc from the LSE in International Economy.  Prior to LSE, Homkes received two degrees at Indiana University: BS (Honors) in business administration alongside a BA (Honors) in Political Science where she was a Wells Scholar and graduated as the schools’ top graduate in 2005 and its sole Herman Wells Scholar.  She previously served as a Fellow at the White House’s President’s Council of Economic Advisors and has worked in strategy consulting with Bain + Co.

Vinitha is a cybersecurity and risk leader with strong business focus and close to 20 years of industry experience. She is drawn to solution-oriented and meaningful work. Passionate about creating positive team dynamics and a firm believer in the power of collaboration, Vinitha serves as a champion for all people and especially women in tech.

The bulk of her career has been focused on management consulting with Deloitte’s Cyber Risk Services practice where she advised blue chip technology, healthcare and financial services clients, and led multimillion-dollar onshore/offshore engagements. She has also worked with Veritas and PwC before finding her way to Rubrik in 2019, where she has been building a cyber security program, as well as a security culture that is inclusive and relevant. Vinitha also leads Customer Trust at Rubrik, and influences product development efforts and defines customer and user experience. In this dual role, she serves as a security leader to protect Rubrik's in-house assets and infrastructure, and also liaises with customers on important security issues that Rubrik's products can help solve.

Mario joined World Wide Technology in 2013 after 28 years of professional experience in security in both the government and private sectors to include time at Deloitte & Touche LLP,. During his tenure with the government Mario served as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Defense Intelligence Agency where he was responsible for information technology, data integrity and security, and network communications. Mario’s information security expertise has been called upon for US Congressional testimony that ultimately established today’s federal standards for cyber protection

 

Mario has received special recognition to include Executive Performance of the Year, Civilian Accommodation Award(s), Distinguished Performance, and Special Achievement from the Director of FBI and Director of National Intelligence Community. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science/Information Systems and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
